The lakefront home with
outdated golden oak and 90s design was transformed into a modern,
resort-like retreat. Key changes included removing a bulky soffit to
open the dining area, creating a cocktail bar with unique finishes, and
replacing the oak with custom cabinetry. Tactile materials like
reclaimed wood flooring, a wave-inspired wall, and aged concrete were
incorporated to connect the home to its natural surroundings. Technology
was integrated for customizable lighting, sounds, and temperature,
enhancing the overall atmosphere and bathing experience in the primary
suite. The design blended the clients' jewelry and tech backgrounds,
creating a soul-nourishing retreat.
