The
kitchen of this charming 1920’s home wa essentially a hallway with
cabinets. There was little room for food preparation and it was one of
the main circulation routes of the home. The design solution’s space
planning removed a wall between the kitchen and the adjacent daily
dining space and relocated the powder bath to the new daily entry area.
The striking contemporary cabinetry and finished surfaces of the kitchen
provided an aesthetic flair to the redesigned kitchen. The kitchen,
though still in the same location as the former, was now a fully
functioning modern center of daily family lifestyle.
