Addition over $250,000
Long-time owners of this
historic home wanted to retire here and live safely with ease and
elegance. Their goal was to add a main-level master suite with
accessibility features, including an elevator and zero-step shower, for
aging in place.
The solution was to build a two-story addition with a garage below and a
master suite above flowing to the home's main level. A connecting
"hyphen" joins old and new and houses the new elevator. Inside,
custom-made casings, a vaulted ceiling, cozy fireplace and other details
combine to create fresh, stylish space that complements the home's
historic character.
