The project included removing two walls to open up the kitchen. One of the challenges was to design the kitchen and bulkheads to conceal a large steel beam that supported the second floor of the home. In addition, the back of the cabinets had to be designed so that an HVAC duct could be run to the second floor. All these challenges were seamlessly integrated into a more inviting and open kitchen.
