The client wanted a bigger home in the same historic area close to restaurants and shopping. The place he found was the neighborhood eyesore that was originally built in 1895 as a single-family home and converted in the 1940’s into an 8-unit apartment. The goal was to modernize the interior with an open floor plan, but make the exterior fit with the surrounding historic architecture. The building was totally redesigned by adding big windows to bring in light, new porches and a stunning roof deck with views of downtown. The client now has the best of all worlds.
