The
master suite of a 1928 home had no closets, and the bathroom was
outdated an unsightly from several remodels. Four closets were built in
the corners of the bedroom and wood cabinets convert the radiators into
connecting window seats. By co-opting vestibule space, the bathroom
enlarges for a walk-in shower and more storage, and is slathered in
black and white marble and gold fixtures to evoke the feel of a 1920’s
ocean liner. Great care is taken with the details so that the modern
additions blend with the home’s vintage grandeur.
