The complete renovation and
transformation of a dark and dated master bath into a
Universally-Designed, European inspired wet-room. The resulting space is
modern, bright, open, airy and replete with new efficiencies and
comforts. The newly renovated contemporary space includes a Duravit
wall-hung vanity & linen cabinet, Hans Grohe & Zucchetti brushed satin
nickel plumbing fixtures & accessories and a Toto Aquia wall-hung
toilet. The beautiful tiled walls are a porcelain Val Calcutta 12 X 24
with the complimentary octagon mosaic on the floor.
The universal features
run throughout this European wet-room. This new space includes an
oversized stepless and curbless shower as well a glass shower wall that
can be removed to accommodate an additional 60” turning radius. There
are multiple shower heads, including a hand held shower, recessed built
in cubbies, thermostatic valves and diverters and grab bars. Some
adaptable features are the blocking in all of the walls for future grab
bar placement, should they be needed. The faucet has a lever handle and
the floor is a slip resistant tile with a heated matt throughout. In
addition to the 60” turning radius, there is a 30 x 48 clearance in
front of the vanity, linen cabinet and wall mounted toilet. The owners
can comfortably and safely age in place and enjoy their elegant new
master bath for years to come.
