This enclosed porch, or
exterior room, was a response to the client's need for a protected area
adjacent to the pool, spa and sun deck. The area grew in scope to
include an entertainment zone, seating, storage and full exterior
kitchen for entertaining. Great care was taken to make the additional
space meld seamlessly to the original 7,500 sq. ft. residence it
attaches to. The outdoor space is equipped with a large gas fireplace,
exterior commercial grade heaters and layered lighting which is all
dim-able. The coffered ceiling is reflected in the scoring of the
stained concrete decking below and the recessed areas of the ceiling
have been faux-painted to appear to be marble slabs.
