This kitchen was blocked
off from the dining room and family room by a bulky, obtrusive wall,
which did not fit with the client’s desire to entertain. Three pillars
and two walls were removed that blocked movement and light. The new
kitchen now reveals clean lines with a neutral color pallet enhanced by
soft tans and greens, warm wood tones, and stainless steel. A large
island and bar encourage casual conversation as food is prepared. Even
though the island is one level, there is distinction between the bar and
island through the use of two colors of granite. A landing area was
specifically integrated beside the prep sink in the island. This
transformed kitchen reveals all of the meticulous details involved in a
well-planned and designed kitchen. From the elegant polished tile floor
to attractive lighting, no stone was left unturned to design a kitchen
that reflects the client’s lifestyle and taste.
