The clients wanted to create a new family room space that both improved and enhanced the flow inside the house as well as creating a connection to the outside. They also wanted to update the existing exterior in an aesthetically pleasing manner. Their needs were met with an addition to the rear where the lot had a large expanse of space. Flow from the kitchen and dining room could now be achieved with the installation of pocket and swinging French doors. The look is mirrored in the three sets of French patio doors that bring the outdoors in. A deck constructed at the same level and the new family room helped to expand into the outdoor living space and allowed more options for entertaining. The overall result of this project is a stunning, open and warm family room that a family with grown kids can easily relax into. Entertaining is a snap with open flow between the kitchen, dining room, new family room and outdoor deck.
