2003 Best Finished Basement
The client wanted a
comfortable, yet elegant family living center while providing a space
for entertaining. Since the room had to fulfill many different purposes,
the design team had to visually separate the large basement into areas
that addressed these functions. This was accomplished by a colonnade of
connecting and linking arches, highlighted by cherry woodwork. This
provided a flowing symmetry to the overall design that reflects the
client’s distinctive taste and style.
