reconstructed, remodeled, restored and, in the case of the roof,
redesigned an 8,500 sq. ft. former show home. The single-story luxury
house, home to a large family blended with children, grandchildren and
foster children, was nearly destroyed by a fire which damaged every
room. The biggest challenge was rebuilding the roof structure. The
one-story luxury ranch in a transitional style had not been perfected
when this home was constructed. Upon inspection, the architects marveled
that the home had survived its 15 years without incident - calling the
fire a blessing in disguise. To make the building structurally sound, we
added steel support beams, moved walls and redesigned archways, ceilings
and doorways to hide the structural changes. We upgraded when necessary,
replaced and repaired exactly to its original state when asked, and
helped to inspire the homeowners to make choices that would result not
just in the home they had before the fire, but truly their dream home.
