Initially, the clients’ main goal was to create a space for entertaining and guests to stay comfortably for longer periods of time. As the process progressed, they were equally interested in making their home family friendly, since theirs was about to grow. So we created an open floor plan on the main level that incorporated large windows in the rear of the home to make their beautiful backyard part of the interior, while allowing site lines throughout to keep an eye on the children. The basement build-out and updated second floor accomplished the need for overnight guests to stay comfortably.
